Once you’re on your social networks, you need to let people know. Here’s a list of things you can do online to get started.
Your Website
Facebook and Twitter logos and links need to be added in appropriate places on your website. These should include, at the very least, your Home page and Contact page.
If you review your website, you may feel that the links, or references to them, would fit in elsewhere too.
Your website designer should also be able to advise on this.
If you would like us to help with your website, send us your designer’s details, and we will deal with them on your behalf.
Are you on Facebook personally? If you are, send a message to your Facebook friends inviting them to see your Facebook business page, asking them to ‘like’ it and maybe even to ‘share’ it with their friends. Mention the other social networks you are on and ask them to follow you there too.
Here’s a suggested message:
Hi. I just wanted to let you know that [Your Business Name] now has a business page on Facebook. Here’s the address – www.facebook.com/[Your Facebook Address]. Once we have 25 ‘likes’ there we can get a proper address ….so if you could ‘like’ the page, I’d really like you! 😉 Your help with this would be really appreciated. Thanks.
PS. If you really like it, it would be great if you could ‘share’ the page with your friends too.
PPS. We’re on Twitter now also. If you’re on too, send me a Tweet www.twitter.com/[Your Twitter Handle] and I’ll follow you there. And if you like, you can follow me too.
Drop a line to your friends, colleagues, business acquaintances and clients letting them know you are now on.
A suggested email to friends would be the same as the Facebook one above.
A suggested email to business connections would be:

Email Signature
You should add your Facebook and Twitter links to your email signature.
If you don’t already have an email signature, you need to introduce one. A typical email address would have your business name, contact numbers, website address, email etc.
